Annetta Carter, CLTC®

Director of Retirement Strategies

With 31 years of experience in the financial services industry, Annetta Carter is completely focused on helping people with the strategies they need to successfully retire. This includes providing Social Security maximization, Medicare and prescription drug policy consultation, retirement income planning, long-term care planning, income tax planning, Roth planning, insurance planning, wealth planning, trust and legacy planning and much more—the entire spectrum of retirement is considered in Annetta’s services to pre-retirement and retirement clients in Texas and Florida.

Knowing how important it is for retiring successfully, one of Annetta’s main goals is to protect the wealth her clients have accumulated for retirement by providing “safe money” options.

Annetta customizes her retirement strategies to each client. She says, “At GCB Retirement Strategies, we do not find any one household has the exact same financial situation as another, and so we tailor our recommendations to your unique goals, income and assets, tax status, retirement objectives, health and desired family legacy. After attending one of our free, no-obligation discovery meetings, we believe you will see how much care we take in helping you through the process of strategic retirement planning tailored specifically to you and your needs. Because we are contracted with most insurance companies in today’s marketplace, we are able to find the best solutions for you based on what we discover by really listening to you.”

Annetta entered the financial services industry in 1990, obtaining her insurance and securities licenses Series 6, 63, 65 & 7. During her career, she worked for Metlife, Prudential, and Securian Financial. She has received many awards, including “Rookie Agent of the Year,” “Veteran Agent of the Year” multiple times, “Top Salesperson in Long-Term Care Solutions,” and “Life Insurance, Annuities and Quality Business Agent of the Year” multiple times. Numerous years she’s been a “Million Dollar Round Table” qualifier. Most recently, she won the “Game Changer of the Year” award.

Annetta Carter holds a CLTC® designation, a special certification for long-term care.

In 2014, when she partnered with GCB Retirement Strategies owner, Aubrey Ryan, to expand their services offered, she decided to take her practice in a different direction and let all the securities licenses expire, keeping only the insurance license which is sufficient for the type of planning she now offers her clients. She says, “I am often found integrating my solutions with those of brokers and investment advisors as well as tax and legal professionals for my clients.”

“Over the years, I have learned to listen and ask the right questions to really understand your goals and make sure any recommendations we make are sensible and designed to enhance your retirement strategies. I have developed skills to determine if there are gaps in your current strategies and to implement strong solutions to help you avoid retirement pitfalls,” she says.

Annetta says, “I think when a person is seeking an advisor, they are looking for someone who will be genuine, responsive, attentive and ethical. I think my passion for the business and in helping people secure their future comes through in my conversation either during the initial seminar or discovery meeting with a client. What I most enjoy about helping clients is the satisfaction of being their trusted advisor, helping them achieve a comfortable retirement and avoiding any possible pitfalls. I love the ‘thanks’ I receive over and over from clients not only verbally, but through referrals.”

Speaking regularly at live events on various topics, Annetta educates the public on income planning, Roth planning, Social Security maximization strategies, long-term care planning, and Medicare solutions as well as many other topics. She also trains and develops agents in the field who are ready to move to the next level in their career.

Annetta has been married for 40 years to her high school sweetheart, a pastor in their community. Her hobbies are reading, kayaking, traveling and participating in leading worship at their church.
